gundam 00 series wrap-up

After watching episode 25 of the Gundam 00 series where it purposely expose a few new gundams in the hangar at the end, I noticed Sunrise managed to pull-out the most evil strategy to make sure that Gundam 00 fans will shrivel in pain and ecstasy waiting for the next season. And their hopes to see the new units in action fades slowly thanks to CodeGeass Season 2 broadcasting announcement. During the Gundam 00 preview screening, there were hopes that director Seiji Mizushima will bring out something ‘different’ from the 00 series but after 25 episodes, my conclusion was, 00 still uses some of Gundam Seed elements in its show.

clannad sequel, confirmed

I just finished watching Clannad episode 23 and looks it coming to its end. Left one episode and as I believe that last episode won’t cover the whatever remaining unexplained matters throughout the anime, I went to search for some info and found out a trailer at youTube titled Clannad- After Story. Its only a promo, but I need to verify whether its an OVA or a second season. Confirmed the clip was the sequel to Clannad.

Mostly are porn or sex related ads, viagra, multi-level marketing, scams and I once got an invitation to join a cult group in South Africa. Just finished downloading some anime and these wraps up some series aired through this year and last year

1. Kekkaishi
2. Rental Magica
3. Kimikiss Pure Rouge
4. Wolf and Spice

and a few others that I couldnt exactly remember. I’m going to have a headache choosing which one to watch as my watch list is growing quite long. There’s even some anime from years back ago that I’ve never got the chance to finish watching like Speed Grapher. But the main dissapointment for this year is the sequel to the Minami-ke series that is Minami-ke Okawari. Their animation is renderedly quite bad compared to the first season and I’m not impressed at all – especially when it comes to the two main aspects in this anime. One is the ala Bible Black look, where they focused too much on it and their infamous neko smile. Here’s some of the comparison between season 1 (top) and season 2 (bottom)

and the storyline isnt going anywhere as well.

Some anime title that I recommend to watch is

Moyashimon, about a boy that can see microbes, some really nice chicks and a boy that crossplay into a lolita gothic girl.

Apple Seed ExMachina, CGs are top notch as usual, good storyline and the only comment that I could say is how they rendered Deunan’s hair.

They look quite rubbery like the pinky show below.

Tekonkinkreet, the graphic are amazingly wonderful. Colorful and lively with super detailing, but sincerely the characters looks need a bit surgery, especially the eyes. But anywhere, thumbs up for this marvellous story. Go and watch it, its full of yakuzas, a fat strip dancer and a pair of retarded superhero kids.

Others is like Kodomo no Jikan (loli alert), Clannad, Genshiken 2 and You’re Under Arrest Full Throttle.

Well, I’m gonna get glued to my monitor for this weekend, might as well get into the Nekomimi Hikkimori mode.

honey and clover drama

11th episode is out and thats the final one for an amazing show. Honey and clover or Hachimitsu to Clover drama is an adaption from the popular anime series. I’m not gonna review the whole drama, you get some info HERE and HERE. What I want to emphasize here is the characters involved and some missing plots in the drama. No notes for the drama though since its too short.

Reviews is for the drama only as I dont really know the actor/actress from the movie. As you can see from the chart that I’ve made blindly above, there are some and some no resemblence within the anime, movie and drama characters. Takemoto’s role in the movie was damn tard boring, stiff as a log compared to one in the drama. Acted by Ikuta Toma (spotted in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, this is a good drama – highly recommended), that is well known for his funny roles. Other noticeable characters is Hagumi by Narumi Riko (spotted in the Ruri no Shima series – note the 2 totally different roles done by her) and she’s a really sweet darling. Morita is the next, actor is Narimiya Hiroki (spotted as Nobu in the Nana movie series) both with the same characteristics – big mouth. Another familiar face is Yamada’s father, Yamada Daigoro by Izumiya Shigeru (spotted in Dr. Koto Shinryojo).

There’s no Fujiwara bothers (LOL, hard gay anyone?) in the drama series, but there is a bimbo that acted as Morita’s sales agent. Another weird character here is Romaya senpai that appears out from nowhere and everytime that happens, it really gives me the creeps.

Other than that, the drama is awesomely good, the production company manage to squeeze two seasons of the anime into just 11 episodes of drama, where I’m not happy at all about that. There are some major plots that is missing from the drama series compared to the anime that is :

1. Morita and his brothers plan to take over back their father’s company
2. The cheeky scene where Mayama spend a night with Rika together when they went to search for Rika’s husband birth place. In the anime (towards the end) they show only 1 bed that obviously being shared by them together with Mayama woke up without any clothes on compared to the drama where there is two separate beds.

Highly recommended.

dead fantasy 1 & 2

Got this amazing video from one of my comrades in the bolehvpn community. FF vs DOA. This is really an awesome clip. Just watch the ladies in battle non-stop and obviously there is nobody that’s getting hurt or whatsoever. Reminds me of the anime Dragonball where the fight is long and devastating, yet non of the fighter got pawned. Dead Fantasy animation is superb and smooth, but the lack of voices and FX in it seems to make it a bit dull. Listen to them fighting and the punch or kicking impact sounds like the fighting scenes in Hindustan movies. Anyway, thumbs up for a such great presentation. My internet line here is a bit retardly slow, so folks who have better connection should enjoy the movie more. I wonder what’s coming up next? KOF vs Street Fighter chicks? I would want to see Chun Li and Mai Shiranui in a cat fight though. Just google their names and you’ll see a lot of rival fights among these two including who’s got the best ass

Evil comrade after office hours

This little mutt’s favourite toy is the anaconda snake that we bought from IKEA. Usually we’ll play by dragging it all around the office. This is the only toy that is still intact after 5 years under his evil rule.
