doraemon – nobita and the robot army movie wrap-up

There is no need to introduce who and what Doraemon is, the cartoon character that was described as The Cuddliest Hero in Asia. This movie – Nobita and the Robot Army is also known as Nobita and the Platoon of Iron Men and was released in 1986.

It is about aliens from the planet Mechatopia that planned to invade earth and make all humans their slaves. They deported a huge robot and its master at the beginning and it ended up with Nobita. At the moment Nobita was jealous because Suneo has a mini robot named Micross and kept bullying him. As usual, Nobita will go to Doraemon for help but was rejected. Doreamon went to the north pole to cool down his head and followed by Nobita.

After entering North Pole to find Doreamon, Nobita stumbled upon a gigantic foot (looks like the gundam gunpla that you use to play) and dragged it back assuming its a gift from Doraemon. He also met the brain of the robot that looks like a bowling ball.

This is where Nobita’s adventure started. During that time, Lilulu, the master for the robot that was wondering around, searching for her robot and ended up nearby Nobita’s housing area. This story is quite complicated and you should observe the story because later Doraemon will use one of his items to twist everything upside down. The new dimension is the mirror of the world, exactly the same like the real earth but with no humans living in it. This is where they build Zandacross

This area is also where they diverted the alien assault to. Although the planned worked, but finally the aliens manage to find out Doreamon’s plan and attacked the real world instead. Doraemon and his gang was defeated and they didnt show what happened to Zandacross. At the mean time, Shizuka, Lilulu and Micross came up with a grand plan to defeat the alien robots. They went back in time before the aliens were created.

There, they met the creator that is busy programming the robot version of adam and eve, called Amu and Imu.

The creator was asked to plant hearts into the alien so they have feeling and wont invade earth anymore. At the end the plan was succesful, but in return Lilulu will dissapear together with the aliens as she is also a part of the creator’s project. And it was a sad one.

I’ve been watching Doreamon since the 80’s and I’m still watching it now. There’s no way I’m going to get bored, even after watching a few hundred episodes of its TV show. Doreamon is a highly enjoyable show to watch no matter what age you are and I’m still waiting for its future releases. My ratings for this movie is 8/10.
