The third season maiden episode starts with a cat fight between Kanu Unchou and Ryofu Housen, a great battle where Kanu was beaten. A grand opening for Ikkitousen’s third installment that is the Great Guardians, though the whole charismatic intro was blundered by Hafuku’s great scenes of her bathing naked. 
After two seasons of fanservice and pantsu shots, its nice to see some bare breasts in the series. There is still the trademark of torn clothes during battle for this Great Guardians series, bigger sized breasts and I noticed their sizes are the same for all the female characters .
Episode 1
- Sonsaku Hafuku remains as Nanyou’s leader with her silly and easy-going attitude. She plans to work part-time with Ryomou Shimei or Mou-chan to gather some funds for their oversea battle tournament.
- Kanu came back from her training, went for some chinese food feast together with Gentoku, Koumei and Chouhi where they met Hafuku and Koukin working there.
- Kanu got pissed when Hafuku gets intimate with Gentoku and they both starts fighting.
- Chuubou Sonken makes her appearance, starts her preaching with Sun Tzu’s Art of War speech. Chuubou greeted Hafuku as her sister.
- Saji’s whereabouts is still unknown and it is bothering Mou-chan a lot.
- A great ending theme – Shape of Shadow by Kage, couldnt find it at youtube though.
Some notes
- There is no official Opening Theme for episode 1
- Great Guardians series looks more relaxed compared to the more stressed atmosphere in the Ikkitousen and Dragon Destiny series.
- Kanu Unchou’s fearsome and cool charateristic has been de-graded to a perveted slut where you can see a lot of scenes of her fantasizing naughty thoughs with Gentoku.
- We can see real skin in this third season
