Before this, they did a major assault on ‘provocative’ figurines (news HERE), now from some news that I got, the authorities are filtering Japanese hobby magazines like the Dengeki and Hobby Japan that are brought into my country. These magazines, as you know – sometimes have images of nude or maybe ‘provocative’ figurines images in it. According to forumers, some pages were torn out that I assume the ones that has these kind of images on it. I didnt expect this to happen, but looks like they are trying to round up everything that has connection to the figurine issue. Most probably they are going to attack the anime section soon. I’m going to get a copy of this month’s Dengenki and Hobby Japan later – see how bad the damage that they have done. With all these, I feel like packing all my belongings now and get a one way trip ticket to Japan
UPDATED NEWS
I’ve been searching at my regular toy shops around the city and looks like they are not available for sale or for distribution. What my supplier told me was simply marvelous – the authorities didnt tear or cut out the pages from the magazine, they confiscated the whole magazine shipment. If they really did that, then I’ll assume every single personnel that is working in the department should have a copy each. Good for them, they can use it as a reference when they are doing a mass masturbating event
. The current available units in my area are from a well-known major bookstore – the Kinokuniya Book Store. If they keep on doing this to the magazines mentioned above, I think I wont be able to purchase any of them anymore in the future. I have to start looking for scans of them from the web, maybe I’ll try to smuggle them from any nearby neighbouring countries
